Selamta creates forever families for orphaned and abandoned children in Ethiopia. Selamta's Community Center, located in Addis Ababa, is a place for forever families to gather and serves as a resource for the local community. The Center also hosts Selamta's English Camp during the summer.

Tamrat, who is the center's assistant director, explains that school supplies are given to Selamta students by another organization but discusses that the library books at the Community Center are outdated. The library and the Center are used by the forever families and community members.

After learning the impact that Selamta has on the community, Tesfa Ethiopia wanted to make a lasting contribution to the center.

In July 2019, Meki, our Vice Chair, purchased 238 educational and leisure books for students of all ages. This meant the families at the center had access to updated resources.
