Help Ye Kelem Amba Get A Water Tank!

Lack of access to water affects the health of school-aged children, who spend majority of their day in schools.

About 37 out of 39 million students in Ethiopia lack basic hygiene service at school. 57% of children in Ethiopia have no access to safe drinking water. Access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WaSH) impacts health and education outcomes as well as gender disparities.

Disease spreads quickly when hand washing facilities are not available. A 10,000 liter water tank can ensure students have access to water when it is temporarily unavailable.

We reached our goal!

In February of 2020, we provided Ye Kelem Amba with a 10,000 liter water tank to store water in case there is a lack of running water. We want to give a big thank you to Fiffi Negussie and her family who raised half the cost of the water tank. With their generous donation, Tesfa was able to match their funds and provide the school with this water tank so that the students have access to clean readily available water.
